Free DIY allowance
Smugglers Way: by car, 'small quantities of DIY waste for free'. By van: 'up to 100 litres of DIY waste, or one large item no bigger than 2m x 0.75m x 0.7m ... a maximum of one delivery every 7 days', pre-booked with valid ID. Vale Street takes recycling only, no DIY rubble.
From Lambeth's pages, quoted or summarised.
In England, councils can't charge householders for their own DIY waste up to two 50 litre bags, or one item up to 2000 x 750 x 700mm, per visit, for up to four visits in four weeks. They can charge above that. Check your load.
