Free DIY allowance

Small scale DIY waste (e.g. changing kitchen cabinets or a bathroom suite, removing a patio or small garden wall) 'restricted to a maximum of 6 items every 30 days'; one item = one DIY item or one 100 litre bag. Must be your own work, delivered by you. No resident charge published; waste from large projects (extensions, loft conversions, demolition) not accepted.

From Luton's pages, quoted or summarised.

In England, councils can't charge householders for their own DIY waste up to two 50 litre bags, or one item up to 2000 x 750 x 700mm, per visit, for up to four visits in four weeks. They can charge above that. Check your load.
