Good to know

GM residents (except Wigan) can use any of the GM recycling centres free. Recycle for GM lists Cobden Street and Lumns Lane (both in Salford) as local centres for Manchester. Reliance Street (Newton Heath, M40 3EZ) is closed for redevelopment: site page says reopening early 2027 (area page says 6-8 months). Closed Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
